Not shaw about the 03s but the 08s can be kick started and ran with out any battery. I would try to kick start it with out the battery first? To see if you need to go down that path.

I have used that manual for my mates FSR 450 08. Has help not many changes. Mainly upgrade/update to some internal parts.

I run the force radiator guards with no issue. My set are the largerest set they make I think they are 30% larger then standard.

I bought a few sets few GPI from china. When I've had any issues they have replaced them and not even asked to send the any thing back. I have a set on my 300 and a set on a 450.

I had a head rebuilt by scottys a year or so back and from memory it was only $200. That was for FSR 450 08

A mate of mine has the 08 FSR. He had an oil leak from the filter cover after the first oil change. The two bolts that hold the cover on are different length( only 3-4 mm). Have you check the thread depth in the hole to ensure the bolts are not bottom out in the casing?

There is a gasket between the glass and the casing on both oil glasses you can replace them. Or try to nip it up a little.

Hi Roosta. Mounting holes appear to be very close. If you have a mig welder or know some one who has one you could cut the pipes from the muffler and fit your old pipe to the new muffler. If you do this best to fit everything up first and draw some line up marks on the pipe and muffler to ensure...

A mate of mine got a set for his 08 FSR From GPI. You can find them on eBay.

You could almost go to the factory to get the software update.. Lol..as I said most Gas Gas dealers should be able to help you out with the update.

Where are you located?

There is software update for the ECU. I think there is a link on Gas Gas Spain website. Most dealers should be able to help with this.

Hi Ton a mate of mine has the 08 450 and was having the same sort of problem. He had the program update and has fixed the problem 99% of the time. He has also found that some times he needs to open the throttle slightly. Hope this helps

Spooly Do you happen to know the size of the spacer he had made? I would like to do the same thing. I can't seem to find the correct length any where.
