Clean all of your sensors and put them back together with dielectric grease. I had a similar situation and it worked brilliantly and cost me about $5 and took 30mins.
My bike (06 450) was running erratically recently. All I did was take off each efi sensor, clean them with contact cleaner and then use dielectric grease when I put them back together. Worked a treat and took less than 30 mins and cost less than $5. Worth a try.
I read on here that changing the cam chain tensioner makers starting easier. Apparently the automatic chain tensioner is too tight and makes it hard too turn over. Do a search on here and you should find the details
Sorry I don't have the partnumber, but you could ring scotties dirt bike spares. They are very helpful and I'm sure they would tell you. The price was about 90 Aussie dollars.

I was riding along a couple of days ago and the engine started making a clapping noise i pulled in the clutch, slowed down and the bike stalled. I tried starting the bike and it wouldnt turn over with the button or kick over either. Its what i imagine the symptons of a seized engine would be...
That's what it's called in the parts list. I've been told it's an oil strainer and I should clean it each time I change the oil. It doesn't mention anything in the user manual.
Does anyone else do this or know what I'm talking about?

The pump and impeller looks fine to me. I think the Berg is right it must be the radiator cap...................................................................................................
It was the radiator cap....replaced it and had a great ride on the weekend :)
