Crashed on Monday, be careful riding.

Wow, sorry to hear that Troy passed away... It makes my injuries seem minor compared to what he went through, and a reminder to me that things could have been a lot worse. I'm hanging in there, lots of Tylenol. I haven't and can't touch the bike yet.

Crashed on Monday, be careful riding.

Guys,, thanks for the get-wells, the doctors said that no surgery was required to fix this, only time. GMP,, I did not have a Leatt brace on, but a chest protector. The bike came up so fast, it was as if the throttle did stick. The straight has several small rollers on it, too far apart to...

Crashed on Monday, be careful riding.

Hey guys, first I want to say to you thanks for answering most of my questions and all of the tech support I got here on the GG board. With that said, I wanted to let you guys know that on Monday I crashed while riding and broke my back. I was riding down a long hard straight, and the bike...

    Cartridge inside of fork

Damn, I didn't get it apart. I wasn't sure if the rod separates where the rod stopper it at. It had this funny ring with four small square notches cut out. I could almost grab it with a special pliers for transmission rings, but it kept slipping out. I didn't want to ruin anything. All...

Those are nice! Where can I buy one???

    TwinAIR dust filter cover

That big orange pre-filter looks like a pumpkin.. Wait! It IS Halloween! Better find something other than a KTM cover, if you keep using it, your bike will not corner, be harsh, tall, uncomfotable, expensive, and just like everyone else. :D Just kidding... I would try one if I could find...

    Engine Vibration

Every time I crash, I seem to ruin the pipe O-rings. Then the vibrations get worse. However, my bike vibrates the same as yours does right before it comes on the pipe. I made my own lower pipe mount out of some rubber bushing I had laying around. The metal springs sometimes vibrate really...

    Cartridge inside of fork

Ok, total noobie question on the cartridge. I have the fork cap and spring out on one end. I have the base valve out of the other end. Does the cartridge unscrew from inside the outer leg or should the cartridge and damping rod just fall out? Is this what Steve B. was talking about when...

    Revised Jetting Specs NEDW

with the weather getting cooler here, my NOZH 42 pilot combo idles very well on clip 1. I got the air screw to sit at the preferred 1.5 turns out pretty much all the time. I am still at a 160 main. I went to a 165 and the bike had a hard time revving out. 160 just rips your arms out. I...

    RIDICULOUS squish. as always!

For extreme enduro, I couldn't say one way or the other. I tried the cover before I did the base gasket squish mod so maybe the large squish clearance had something to do with the sag I was getting before it came on the pipe. I also moto the bike, so I do need some snap. I felt the cover...

    RIDICULOUS squish. as always!

If I wanted it to hit lower, sooner, would I add or subtract shims? I came off of a 450XC, honestly, I got really lazy riding it and do miss some of the brute off the bottom strength. The 300 is great, smooth, but some more low/mid in the deep sugar sand hills and bogs here would be great.

    RIDICULOUS squish. as always!

I did a PV chamber when the bike was newer. I didn't like it, it seemed to delay when it would come on pipe. Low end was a *tad* stronger, mabye 5% or so. I wound up selling it. Still stock 13/48 gearing. I can live with 1st in the woods. I have been using the Honda racing 80/85 wt. gear...

    Sachs fork valving '10 300

Too bad the cartridge end with the midvalve and rebound stack doesn't pop out of the end of the cartridge tube if I drain the oil and collapse the fork. I am at about the limit of confidence here with doing the base valve which was way easier than I thought it would be. I can make tools in...

    Sachs fork valving '10 300

I figured as much.... to get to the good stuff, I need to take it apart. I don't plan on putting any suspension tuners out of business here, but I would like to get a tool to hold the cartridge. The whole "heat it up" thing scares me regarding the cartridge.

    RIDICULOUS squish. as always!

Allright then, that will be this weekend's project. Powervalve slop adjusting. I do get the rattle when in the lower rpm range well before it comes on the pipe. I hope to pick up even more low end doing this. I ride a gear or two high most of the time, and would love more low end power. :D
