I have a 98 EC250. Prev owner was heavy kid. He had a 6.4kg-m spring. But also kept the 50Nm spring (5.09Kg-m?) which I have in now. But it's too soft. I am around 200Lbs in gear. I have about 16mm preload to get 115mm sag with me on bike in shorts, 175lbs. The spring on it now is ohlins...

My 98 been 10/40 Synth and been good. I've even used 5/40 cause thats what I run in my truck and what I had. Clutch grabs if starting in gear, no biggie, Shifts smooth and never slips. But maybe I'll try some ATF mixed in??

Just rebuilt my 98 ec250. And she is sucking in gearcase oil into crank case. Thought it might be been bad crank seal. I accidentally installed a little crooked. Replaced it, made a press bushing on lathe to press in perfectly flat using crank nut. So not it now. But should I have used sealant...

I put mine in without the crank, but still managed to mess up. I think I over drove it in and it went crooked. Any tips or words of wisdom to install new one with crank in?
