I agree; I'm 6'3" and have my Windham bend ProTapers as far forward as possible in the stock clamps(06 EC300) and wouldn't have it any other way. Try a washer between the top clamps and the bar clamps for easier access to the adjuster screws but it's still a pain to get at. Too bad, BRP makes...

Have any of you 07 owners checked to see if your impellors are composite [plastic] or aluminum?

The stock gasser o/s bars are larger in this area than any other fat bar I've seen. I tried ones from MSR, Acerbis and Moose but no luck. Finally put some Pro-Tapers on rather than have something machined up to fit. The sweep on the Windham bend is also more comfortable for my tall frame:) .

Was the silencer for a 125 or 250? FMF shows different part nos.

Pulling the cylinder head won't be necessary; you'll know right away if you have a gasser or not. I've yet to see a "chinese" bike with an Ohlins shock or Marzzochi forks.

I'm not a dealer and can't speak for mine but I do know you would definitely get some interest from the Canuck side if you had one in Minnesota. I'd be happy just to see the new bikes.

As an owner of an 06 EC300 I would have to say that the suspension would work in either situation; they respond well to adjiustments so don't be afraid to play with the shocks and forks. I would recomend a steering damper though as mine gets kinda nervous at high speeds. As a huge fan of the...
