Had a big off a few weeks ago , high side off the bike on a steep downhill.
Must have stopped my whole accelerating body weight on my head and right shoulder.
Result was a mild concussion, a sore shoulder and a trip in an ambulance for a CT scan which came back clear!
Just wanted to let...
Hi Matt , the Force has 3 bars on the front side of the radiator for side proctection.
I had Force radiator guards on my last dirt bike and used to crash a lot (...more than I do now ...:D) . Twice I bent the guards with high speed frontal impacts but they survided many side impacts and front...
Bought the ProPower Billet Radiator Guards to my EC300 when brand new.
After 18 month I finally had to take the tank and shrouds off. Well the photos are really the review...
so have replaced this
with this
Hopefully it has better side impact protection!
The dreaded starter motor curse has struck , first started acting up at around 40 hours.....soldiered on for another 10 hours and now having to kick it as nothing at all from the starting system apart from a click from the solenoid
Have starter motor off and want to dismantle. Can anypne...
Yes the venting works....weight I would say was "average"....had heavier helmets , had lighter.
In terms of suitability for head shape , I have heard it described as suitable for "long oval" ....not sure where I read that.
Haven't worn any of the helmets you mentioned so can't compare.
All I...
So far have done one ride with the Shinko 505 / Fatty combination.
First impressions , really positive reaction to the front. As everyone says it doesn't deflect as much , more stable and better for tech riding
It was only one ride of about 4 hours but did not notice any major negatives to the...
True , not noticed much more dust than usual .....just think the foam insert as per my last non LS2 helmet would be a good addition.
If it was removeable you'd have a choice to install or not.
I'm with you , it's not a deal breaker and I'd also still buy it for the...
First ride in the new helmet on the weekend
No negatives , does everything the MX 470 did.
One positive I noticed was that although the same size (XS) the cheek pads seemed to have more "give" and I didn't get hamster cheeks / sore jaw the way I did with the 470
All up - no complaints! :)
Generally riding in dry dusty conditions.
Already a negative that the helmet doesn't have any foam behind the main vent at the front of the chin bar.
The additional vents on the rubber above the chin bar just seem to be another way of dust and dirt to get in my...
Finally went for :
Shinko 505 120/100/18 rear
Shinko MX216 90/100/21 front
Did my usual intenet searches and chose the tyres i could get easliy with ther least number of bad reports
Never ridden with a gummy or a fatty(tyre!) before....so should be interesting
So epic fail on finding an MX 470 in my size.
Finally found soemone in Australia with stock of the MX700....supposed to be the repalcement for the MX470. $250 delivered seemed a good price to me....here it is....
Pro's over my MX470:
Black fabric on the liner....won't look scungy after a...
