    So what is a proper way to connect map switch to ec 300 2001? Like KTM EXC 4 and 14 pin or 13 and 14 pin like GG EC 2009? 4th pin is grounded on ec 2009 diagram. Are these different maps or what is going on here?

    Cheap Chinese replacement carb.. (review)

    I will order that carb. My EC 300 01 with #7 slide, 42 178 jets and N3EG needle doesn't idle well and max RPM is sometimes below 9000. I can wheelie on 3rd gear without clutch, so maybe max power is OK.

    I fix it!! I pulled the muffler and bike comes to live. Power wheelies at third gear is no problem.

    Mayby new s3 2013/14 cylinder don't work very well with ignition curve in the old 2001 cdi. I will try to change timing on stator.     I tightened cylinder nuts to 35 Nm and changed jet to 178. Now max RPM is lower, on stand 8700 and 7800-8000 on WOT.

    Thank you very much. I forgot to check air leaks... Seals are new. Also reed valve rubber and carb rubber are new. But when I move piston at TDC I hear strange air leak. I thought it was normal. I think I have got loosened cylinder nuts.

    Mayby 20 mm float height causes lean conditions. Try 17 or 18 mm. N1EF also is pain in the ass. If bigger main jet and other float height don't help try another needle, eg. n3eg with 40-42 pilot and 176-178 main.

    Yeah, you can be right. Too lean isn't good for top end power. I will stick with 178 main. What needle have you got? Also check your float height.

    Hi Davehuge. Thanks for response. My spring valve seems to be worn out. With stock 0,7 mm shims bike lost bottom end power.
