Which N3 needle should I get, I can get one from the KTM dealer up the road from where I work I have an old 2000 300 ec so I take it it will fit fine and should I run it on top or second clip down?

for this weekend i was thinking of keeping the N1EF and just put the needle on the top clip and drop the main jet to 175 to see if the fuel consumption gets better but im worried about doing any damage from making it a little leaner? would it be fine ?
