Once again why GG never dies

I agree, but my thinking is that I will get the piston and barrel done at the same time. Right now it is a quick fix

Once again why GG never dies

Both rings had the same wear, no broken bits. The barrel is fine, not a scratch. The piston should have been replaced along with the rings as it is out of spec, but I just changed the rings and with the new compression, I would hurt myself if I tried to start it without a riding boot on.

Once again why GG never dies

40:1 Motul or Bellray I have only recently swapped over to Motul. With the Bellray I have had amazing results with bikes over the years.

Once again why GG never dies

The 05 250 had a strange fault (see - electrical - fix for no spark), so I thought it was about time to check on the rings...... Factory spec on MAX wear/ring gap = 0.7mm Mine = 6mm Just go's to show that a GG will run forever, it was still running fine with these pieces of wire (rings) around...

    Fix for no spark

Hopefully this will save some one many hours of frustration. Fault :- Intermittent spark, sometimes no spark at all (once died while idling on stand) sometimes ran good up to half revs and then bogged, hard to start and then back fired when it felt like it. After doing reeds, rings, crank...

    Seal question

    MC65 Parts: Ridiculous prices

Who said the world was a "small place".........correct. One thing that never ceases to amaze me especially with international forums like this one is the fact that regardless if we have sons that ride or we ride with our sons or any mix up of the two, this includes mothers and daughters, is the...

    MC65 Parts: Ridiculous prices

The SX is lighter turns tighter and has more balls. I am a GG fan, but I have to bite my lip and say that the SX is a better bike. Mine is running V Force 3 reeds and FMF Faty pipe. 230 main with clip at the top. A great enduro bike. They both have the same forks - Mazocs. The carb on the SX...

    MC65 Parts: Ridiculous prices

I haven't done anything with the MC 65 for a couple of months as Jarred has been on a KTM 65 for a while now. The MC 65 is sitting in the garage, but I am always looking for more information.

    Headaches after I ride

My son and I race and have both suffered from headaches. Buying new helmets solved both our problems, whether it was the weight difference/pressure on neck or just the padding inside, I'm not sure. Granted we both went from "Joe Soap" helmets to something decent. Me Airo and son Fox. I strange...

    2006 EC250 to EC300 conversion

As far as I know, the motors have changed very little from the 05/06 250/300. If it worked on mine, it should work on yours? The 200 was a different thing all together.

    MC65 Parts: Ridiculous prices

For most parts you don't have to but from the factory. The bottom end being a Derbi Senda 50cc, you can just get Derbi parts. I can't remember what I worked out about the hydrolic clutch, I think it was a Derbi part as well. The AP brakes are used on other bikes like Polli. As mentioned...

    MC65 Parts: Ridiculous prices

The barrel and piston is a Metrakit , if you have to buy new, go straight to one of the retailers of the kit, it's much cheaper than the GG factory. You won't find a 65cc but a 71cc and 80cc. GG factory must have made a deal once off with Metrakit to make their 65cc top ends and then bolted it...
