It's Alive
Well she is complete took the Gasser out for a small ride the other day. Sure has some punch now. I attached a vid of the first start up.
Just need to work on the jetting from having the head shaved, but I'll sort that out.

Just a little update, got the new forks mounted and what a simple job by using a complete YZ front end. For the stops I found some at the RV store for entry doors. Cut about 3/8" off the top of them and worked out out well.

Ya I couldn't find anything either, my plan was to buy a set of gold valves and revalve it myself. But the different spring lengths have me confused a little. Thinking I might need to find a matching spring. This is what you get from ebay sometimes, lucky the fork tubes are in nice shape.
So I bought a set of KYB SSS forks off ebay. I have never had a set of these, once I opened them up I found a broken piston. Ordered a new set of pistons and found one side to have different valving. The left side has a longer spring and looks to be the stock valve. The right side has a shorter...
Funny ya first time on tubeliss, been running soft rubber for a few years now been liking them. Always fun to go around your buddy when he can't climb any further.:D
I almost for got, picked up one of the 23oz fly whhels and had some material machined to 15.6oz. So I guess will see if I like it found the bike really good before but thought I would give it a try.
Here is a little update on my Gasser rebuild, just put a complete YZF front end on and might try the revalve myself. Thinking about using a YZ fender too. Had the rims powder coated. The exhaust didn't seem to want to go back on I must have really hit it harder than I thought, was able to get it...
One of the members was good enough to give me one of his old rims and only lives about an hour from me. So I sent them out to get power coated. Cleaned up the spokes and reassembled. I think I might cry when I get the first scratch.
There is a dealer here is Canada dual sport plus, I bought one a couple of weeks ago. I'm not sure if they ship to the USA if not you can have it shipped to my place and I can ship it or could drop it in the mail on the USA side in a few weeks when I an there. If that helps.
