    Well, this isn't good

One more thought: Maybe a "shield" from shielded bearing came off of the bearing. I would check your bearings after removal and see if they have a "Z" or "ZZ" in the bearing ID number.

    Well, this isn't good

I'll take a wild guess: Those fragments look like pieces of JB Weld that were formed for a purpose. I would check you fill/drain areas and the cases in general to see if there was a repair inside that maybe failed.

Rachel Gutish and Rieju are World Champions

Rachel Gutish wins final Enduro GP in Germany bringing home series championship for Rieju while fellow Rieju rider Rosie Rowett finished second overall. Excellent showing for the new 300i to compete and finish in an FIM Championship. With this win, Rachel becomes the first American to win an...

    Bound to happen

Glad to hear you are on the road to recovery without surgery. As for "horror stories on braces": There are horror stories for everything we do on a dirt bike so I would just accept that slight risk and move on...I've heard about all the horror stories associated with hand guard/bark busters...

Rachel Gutish and Rieju help team USA women to 2025 ISDE Victory

I just saw that at the conclusion of the 2025 ISDE, the USA women's team secured victory by 30 minutes or more. She (Rachel) appears to have been riding a 300i. Coupled with her victory in the 2025 Tennessee Knockout event a short time ago, she is representing Rieju USA well in competition...

    Bottom end - 2018 xc250

For the rod kit, a 1983-2001 Honda CR 250 rod works...Plenty of those out there! If you just want a dealer to get you parts, try Motocenter AZ in Mesa, Arizona. They have sold lots of that year GG and plenty of Riejus. Number is 480-642-6686. For crank bearings, search this site and the...

    Ec300 dualsport vs ktm 500exc

The ATKs are good bikes. My e-start stopped working a while back and it turned out to be just replacing the starter fuse and cleaning up some ground wires. It has been undergoing a complete overhaul for a few years as the main shaft wears a lot if you don't keep an eye on the countershaft...

    Ec300 dualsport vs ktm 500exc

Had an older Lectron and hated it as it totally flattened the power. Newer one does have some adjustment on Power Jet so that MAY help prevent a seizure during extended street riding. Modified choke circuit with cable: That MAY help but it's a stopgap and not a solution. Richer fuel/oil: That...

    Ec300 dualsport vs ktm 500exc

It is necessary for the 300 if you have it jetted/tuned for riding trails for which it was intended. Enduros and motocrossers are jetted/tuned/geared for slower but more "sudden" obstacles where we want responsive power. Scooters and 2T street bikes are jetted/tuned/geared to be ridden in a...

    Ec300 dualsport vs ktm 500exc

I would never do that with either of my 300s. I had to ride my 2014 EC300 for 15 miles of 60 mph highway with a group of others and we kept it at 55-ish and the 2014 had the stock choke lever on the handlebars. I tapped that lever every 5-10 seconds to keep it from seizing. I don't want to...
