shifter hi,i've seen some shifters on e-bay for £16.95,they are for 98-05 bikes and i'm sure they are from Blacks Bikes.:cool:

dual ignition hi,i've just got my hands on ec250 (05) ex-works bike,i looked into this and mine has two loose wires at the cdi unit,1 orange and 1 black,these 2 wires connected up to the dual ignition switch will give you the hi-lo ignition mapping. hope this helps the switch only costs £5 here...

hi m8,cdi unit should be under your seat. flick the cdi unit out of the rubber strap and underneath you should,hopefully,find 2 wires,one orange and one black. these will be joined or separated. if you have these,all you need is the handlebar toggle switch and,hey presto,dual ignition mapping.

hi,you can't go far wrong with the putoline range thats readily available in the uk,reasonably priced and i've never heard of a gasser go wrong on it so it must be good,happy riding!! the dag.

everyone i know uses putoline mx-5,and there are quite a few gasgas riders in our group,it might have something to do with our mate running a gasgas shop and us getting a good deal on our oils,but none of us have ever had any problems whilst on mx-5.

flywheel weight mines an ec250,05,there is no hi-lo on this model,the wires are all there to make it so,got my switch on order,will update you all when its fitted.

hi,had both bikes,an 03 ec300 and my new purchase is an 05 ec250. the 300 was great and was easy to ride with the low down torque.the 250 i've just bought is an ex works bike with all sorts of extras,including a flywheel weight. which bike is better??? the 250 is in a different league easier to...
