    2005 EC300 Kennewick, WA

Sold in one day!! Wow thanks ggforum! I can't believe it sold that fast but I got a pm at 9:00 the morning after I posted for sale. I was really sad to see the bike go down the road in the back of the new owner's truck, but I'm reconfiguring the stable and a dedicated trail bike just doesn't fit.

    2005 EC300 Kennewick, WA

***SOLD*** I'm selling my 2005 EC300, it is an awesome trail bike but I want a dualsport. $2000 or partial trade for lightweight 4 stroke estart licensed dualsport. The Gasgas runs well an has no known issues. Good brakes, chain/sprockets, and tires. It is set up for singe track with Dunlop...

    Value of 2005 GG EC250

IF I could sell mine for over $2000 I probably would. It's a 2005 EC300 in pretty good condition but it was raced for a couple seasons so couldn't be called perfect.

    EC300 convert to dualsport?

Ok and I assume the headlight and tail light need to be able to run for X minutes after the engine is shut down. I'm sure a 2 stroke will receive more LEO attention than a 4 stroke so if I do better do it right.

    EC300 convert to dualsport?

I haven't totally researched it, but I don't think I need turn signals for daytime riding. If I put some on they would have to be tough and low profile

    EC300 convert to dualsport?

Thanks for all the great ideas! Keep'em coming. Any ideas on noise? I saw a thread on modifying a Stealth silencer to fit the 2005 and also the dBsilencer. Also read that quieting the exhaust doesn't kill all the noise. One area that KTM seems to be better than Gasgas is noise - what else...

    EC300 convert to dualsport?

The squish and carb mods sound good, especially the fuel mileage part. I have Dunlop trials tires on now and love them, the MT43 also sounds good. I like the idea of blasting down the highway and leaving a blue cloud behind!

    EC300 convert to dualsport?

Can it be done? Will I just be torturing myself? I currently have a 2005 EC300 set up for single track, and it works really well for me. I have a KTM 640ADV for dualsport/adventure, but recently got a WeeStrom for the longer "adventure" type rides. I found that a lot of the rides are...

Ok then, who's the biggest bloke here riding a Gasser?

+1 lowering footpegs. I'm only 6'2" but it helped a lot. Taller bars and/or bar risers might help as well. I haven't upgraded the springs (250 lb) but I don't go that fast or jump.

Get your pass for DNR riding

They probably won't start writing tickets right away... The Forest Service tried this a few years ago. You had to get a forest pass to park at ANY trailhead. After a lot of complaints they changed so that only the popular ones required the pass. I don't like paying to ride but with private...

Inner and outer counter shaft seal

I got the bushing out first with a big pair of channel locks and applying a twisting motion. Then removed the lip seal with a wire hook. I tried the sheet metal screw but it kept stripping out. Be carefull when you drive the new lip seal in - there is no stop to prevent it from going in too far.

    Sell or part out?

NOt sure where to post this so I'll try here- What is everybody's experience with parting out a perfectly good bike? Is it more cost effective than selling the bike? Or do you part out only if you can't find a buyer for the bike? Let's assume my time is free. Thanks for your input!
