Thanks husley.
I talked to my mechanic about the issue. He remembered that the last time I went by (2 weeks ago for fork service) he saw the broken mount but forgot to mention it!
This shows I think that root cause is indeed the hard retraction.
...or the week memory of my mechanic :D
I'm now member of the "Brocken Side Stand Mount" society!
I tried to rest the bike on thick mud and the stand went all the way in. By doing so, it changed angle relative to the bike as the latter was falling.
At first I thought that this incident was the root cause but now I know that it...

Will switch to amsoil or 710 and check.
Actually, this used to be forest land but this is the result of summer fires!!!
More trees on the next parts. xexe Indeed, it was a very warm and sunny Sunday.

I think that the plastic black back-end of the carb is needed in order for the boot to "reach" the carb. The boot end is not that long.
Also, by using the adapter, they can use the same boot no matter the carb used.
So nknudsen gave us the solution to the big mistery of the part#.
Thanks.
After using the thermal gun in place. I removed nothing (to much work to bother) but I used the gun with great care since the plastic is rather soft and near alot of other things :)
I thing the result is OK.
thermal gun 12eu VS new spare part 16eu

So I'm not the only one with this issue!!!
The solution with the air gun is what I thought too. I will go that way but I'll try to find out if the difference in part numbering means something.
Thanks again jakobi!!!!!
When I removed the expansion ch. I saw that the fitting of the carb was very poor. I tried to correct it by removing the air filter and loosing the clamps both front and back of the carb. I could not fit it!!!! It seems that the air filter box is not long enough and anyway not "quite right".
The...
Thanks again!
I did it! IT was SOOOOO simple! Pardon my ignorance but I am new in the "mechanic" dept. :)
I cleaned the exp. chamber using break cleaner (2 cans) and one bottle of "clean gasoline" in order to remove the final residue.
I tried to avoid the torch/burn methodology and I'd like to...
Is this true!?!?!?!
Then I'm done!! I removed the springs with the "special"tool but I neveer tried to move wiggle it and I did not remove the other 2 screws.
THANKS A LOT !!!
I will try it tomorrow.
Perhaps this is the dumbest question in the forum but I cannot remove the expansion chamber!!!
I can remove the springs but I cannot unscrew the 2 screws. They are 8mm hexagon screws but are too close to the chamber and I cannot fit the nut in between. Is this normal?????? Do I need a special T...
