Did you price a gasgas one? I put a new line on mine last summer and the OE line was only 100 bucks from the gasgas dealer, which was about the same as getting a custom one but was less of a pita.

Just thinking out loud... Does it have a black expansion chamber or a chrome one? If its the black one it has a catalatic converter in it and the bike will run like crap.

Gasgas It was only 3 or 4 degrees out at that scramble did you richen the bike up to allow for that? It might not be the silencer. It was only 2 degrees when I got there in the morning! My bike was really cold blooded and had a high hanging idle at times but I figured it was just the cold air...

I installed one of those last winter, my all balls kit came with a yellow bushing and a needle bearing. I went with the bushing because I ride in alot of mud and water, im keeping an eye on it, if it wears out I will install the bearing. So far its fine tho.

I put a few gallons from the 91 octane pump in my car before filling my jug, my ec250 runs fine on 91 pump gas. Can you dump the extra gas in your car or truck ? Does your bike ping, knock or rattle on pump gas? If it does you need race gas or a 50/50 mix of pump and race gas. I wouldnt pay...

I do the same thing, I ride in alot of axel deep water, I use thick maxium water proof grease as well. My bearings last alot longer now that I fill them full of grease, the outer seals never seam to keep the water out, with the bearing full of grease theres less room for water.

My 03 250 runs fine on our local 91 pump gas with amsoil dominator at 32 to 1, it doesnt ping or knock at all. It does have a fairly large squish and only 172psi of compression tho.

I have two front wheels, one has a stock rotor and one has a galfer wave rotor... the galfer works way better, the increase in feel and control is very noticable.

I'd do this if it was my bike. As for the other 3 stuck bolts, what penetrating oil are you using ? I've had the best luck with sea foam deep creep its way better than wd40 and heat the triple clamp before you even try to turn them out.

My 03 250 likes to be a little leaner off the bottom than most, I run... 185 main JD red needle 3rd clip 42 pilot #7 slide About 2 turns out on the air screw IMO the gasgas bikes dont seam to be consistant jetting wise from one bike to the next, I'd like to know the squish on some of the bikes...

Im not worried about a little extra wear my 03 still has the original clutch pack and im a clutch abuser lol. I know a couple of guys that had dyna rings (pretty much the same thing) in their big ktms and 450 hondas for a couple of years without wearing them out. Im sure you could burn one up...

Im confused... I thaught the standard exp only replaced a few clutch plates and used the stock basket ? Getting the corect stack height should be the only issue. Im interested in seeing if the honda one works, I'd like to have a auto clutch too but I wont pay 900ish dollars for one!

My 03 250 wont idle with a JD blue in the 3rd clip its too rich no matter what pilot I run, with the red it idles ok but not great. Try the JD red needle with the 42 pilot... its leaner on the straight section, I bet the straight section is too rich on the needle and its pulling over idling off...

If it was my bike it would get the modded carb. If you dont keep it you will end up sending your new carb out to be modded because you know how much better it makes the bike run lol.

What piston are you getting? You need the 86-96 honda cr piston its the only honda one that fits but even its 0.01 of a mm bigger so you may need to replate, atleast check the clearances it may fit. It has a small notch in the bottom of the intake skirt too but that doesnt seam to afect...
