Mine went on my FSE400 , the engine was just spinning over. My solution was to get rid of the bike as i was sick to death of trying to find spares and them costing a bloody fortune.:eek: As much as i loved the bike im glad its gone. Still have Gasser trials bike so not a complete turncoat :)

well i have a 50 / 50 chance of getting it right if they dont fire twice, i will update accordingly. If it fires though i wont be taking it apart to see if i just guessed right :)

The cam chain was the reason for teardown. Looking at the stator side its marked evenly, so am i right in thinking it sparks twice??. If not how do i work out which is the firing stroke, Im sure ive read it fires twice.

Im pretty sure its only half round , Plus ive found all the other bits and the stud that holds it on had snapped off, found that aswell. So its un repairable. :mad:

It s been hit and miss to honest when starting, i think ill try and source a second hand cam, Thanks guys. This liitle incident is turning out very expensive

Thanks alot that makes perfect sense now. This looks like its been like that for ages, but its hard to tell. Do you know exactly what it does (when does it release compression) ? Will it run without it .

How can tell if the automatic tensioner is working ?

Any body know where the tdc marks are for the fse 400 2002/3 model. As the timing chain snagged and snapped , nothing was marked. Manual doesnt seem to show. I am trying to time the beast

Hi guy im getting to close to the point of rebuilding my bike. (not slipper) Heres my question. The manual states the clutch push rod should be marked when removed so it goes back the same way. This did not happen. But looking at all the parts i cant understand why this is they all look...

Hi guys im new to this site . Does anybody know if the clutch system on the FSE 400 (2002) is the same on the FSR 400/ 450. I have managed to damage mine FSE and can only find a second hand FSR one ( like bloody gold dust) except its in germany and i'm in the uk, So dont want to buy one that...
