    KTM EXC 450 2008 to EC250 2010

The previous owner had done all the engine mods, updated to 2010 specs and had done only 10 hours before he sold it to me. I just added the Dirt Tricks tensioner, I can say i am surprised at the agility the 450 has but still no comparison to the GG250. I know I can go much faster on the EC in...

    KTM EXC 450 2008 to EC250 2010

Yeah its a 2 stroke, it has a skid plate, rad braces and one of those hand made exhausts. I just am worried on the after sale value of the GG compared to the KTM. I have ridden the 2010 racing model and found the suspension too stiff. Will the newer model be suitable for hare scrambles and...

    KTM EXC 450 2008 to EC250 2010

I want your opinion on me trading my KTM for a low hour EC250 2010. The four stroke is tiring in the tight stuff but way better when out in the open. I used to have a EC250 2008 which I liked but didn't ever get the suspesion dialled. This will be a straight swap. Is it worth it?

    what about this jetting?

I would go to at least a #40 pilot and get the air screw out to 1 and 1/2. Where are you located and what are your weather conditions?

    2010 carb question

IMHO I don't think gasgas installed this carb for space reasons. I didn't have a chance to ride the '10 250 but it certainly was running excellent, with immediate response and was as fast as my '08 with ltr powervalve cover, fresh piston, jetted spot on, matched transfers 13/50 gearing etc, and...

    How is the GasGas 125?

I have found a second hand low hour 2007 MC125 for 2000 Euros. Its about 1000 less than an equivalent YZ or Husky. Should I get it? I love the lightness of 125's and the owner told me its a really strong motor. I'll get to ride it on the weekend.

Twin Chamber GasGas forks for 2010 300R!!!

Leon Hi again! My forks have been revalved by the gasgas agent and have greatly improved from the original settings, which were very quick in the rebound and would blow through the stroke very easily. As they are set up now, they offer good tracking through the rooted rocky trails but still are...

Twin Chamber GasGas forks for 2010 300R!!!

I just ordered .45 springs and will change the oil to 7.5 sae and see how they work out. Concerning the rear sag, I have 8mm preload on the spring as Glen has recommended and the static sag varies between 3.8 to 4 cms and race sag varies from 100 to 110 (standing and sitting) Maybe I'll crank...

Twin Chamber GasGas forks for 2010 300R!!!

moto9 I think I have to jump the gun and get a pair of heavier springs since I still cannot get decent front end stability at high speed whoops and drop offs. What spring rate should I order, 45 or 48? I weigh 175lbs naked.

    2010 carb question

If the new carb is exactly the same internally as the old one, and there is no space problems why did they change it? I think you can change the pilot jet on these carbs just by removing the 17mm drain plug as on my Yamaha YZ250, also the needle clip had a rubber gasket to reduce vibration.

    EC250 engine rebuild?

I change my piston, rings at about 80 hours, others here in Greece keep them till 150! with no issues.

    2010 carb question

IMHO it looks like the KEIHIN the KTM's have. I read that the racing versions have it since 2009. Nombatim's bike surely had it. What impressed me was the crisp response and the way it went down long steep hills without stalling!

    2010 carb question

Today I was riding with a EC 250 2010, really beautiful bike. I noticed that the 2010 models have a different carb. The particular bike was running perfect, really crisp with lots of power, rider had factory settings. was going up and down steep hills with no issues. What is this carb and what...

    OHLINS or SHOWA FORKS

WTB 48mm OHLINS or 47mm SHOWA forks or anything better than my Marzocchi's for my '08 EC250, clamps to be included.

    Exhaust Spacer

I agree, 10mm will be too much on the 2008 which already has issues on touching the front tire on jumps. The spacer is installed behind the two o-rings at the base of the spigot. 5mm was enough to wake up my YZ with an FMF fatty. Actually I got the info from thumpertalk on their YZ exhaust...
