Hi, l had the same symptoms as you with my 400 for the past 2 years. Always having to jump start from cold. I was using a cheap battery with supposedly 130cca. I've just bought and fitted a Yuasa and guess what, started no problem after not being run for at least a month. Try a Yuasa YTZ7S !!!

Forgot to mention that I bought one of those cheap injectors from China. Waited about 3 weeks for it to arrive. It looked the business. Fitted it and bike started ok, ran for about 10 seconds then cut out and that was it. Never ran again. Avoid at all costs.

Got a new HT lead and plug cap and now running great. Been on an 8 mile and a 20 mile run and no problems. ( 20 miles in 28 degree heat). Lead and cap should read about 4.5K when con. checked. Something else to be aware of !!!

Coolant level is fine and even took radiator cap off and watched the coolant pumping round. Took the coil pack off today and con checked the coils. Primary was about 2ohms and secondary's both read 3100ohms. Also checked the plug lead but cannot get any continuity through it. Appears to be open...

Just a thought Ignas but I assume you have got the cold start button in on the throttle stop?

Thanks, yes that was the other option. Decompressor disintegrated in the head when out on a trail last week, bit of a mess. Several DRZ 'Hot Cams' stuff on Ebay, mostly in the States and the 07 Pampera cam in Australia. Have seen the post and photos. Probably go down that route. OEM cams in UK...

Does anyone know if the exhaust cam from a 07 450 FSE will fit and run in my 02 400 FSE? Head and valve gear part numbers are the same.
