  • Btw, your comment was:
Not sure if it will help but try safety wiring the throttle cable where it enters the carb. The GasGas cable is different than other bikes the way the cable end is made. On mine I could not get the idle set consistently and this was the problem.

What do you mean with "safety wiring..."? I apologize, English is not my native language. Is it to add a tie wrap at the cable, where it enters the carb cap, or how do I accomplish it? Thanks
Hi Jeff, I just found your comment from 2011 about a inconsistent idling on a GG. Can you help me with your experience? I ride a EC300 2011 Nambotin, with a APT Smart Carb. Idle is inconsistent and I have always to play around with the idle screw (it depends if in gear, holding the clutch lever and not moving or being in neutral and not moving). Normally while not moving rpm?s go high and will come down for a while if I engage the clutch a bit, without moving. But then it rises again. If I bring it down with the screw the engine will die as soon as I stop after a ride. Really annoying. Any clue what I can do or check? The smart-carb has no jets and I can adjust only the needle hight (fuel level is checked). But with the Keihin 38 PWT (with and without the JD jetting kit) the sympton were the same. Thanks and regards from southern Chile, Gerardo
