    Needle suggestion for '01 300

Do the R B Designs squish band, get it down to .045-.050 " from the piston crown. It will lift the front with ease. The CEK, or CCK is great on the 2001. For your terrain, take the shim(s) out from behind the power valve clutch spring. Then absolutely no hit, but still all the power. A 36mm...

The airbox on EC300 2013 is terrible

Second that on the Bel - Ray ! I love filter skins, with Bel Ray on them, water beads and runs off.

    Powervalve issue?

While you're in there, take out the preload shims, if any. I think you'll like it ! I sure do. It's counter-intuitive that the power valve will open sooner, for "better" low end, but it works ! Jeff

    2011 6 Days 300 Initial ride

Mudwasp, have you tried the CCK carb needle from Sudco.com ? I rode my GG last weekend after a Winter's layoff, with (1/2 race gas and a 32:1 mix) and was in heaven with the bike, I'd forgotten just how much I like it. :) Jeff in Tahoe

More low down power and smoother midrange

All you need is the CCK needle from Sudco.com $6 = bike becomes very linear. I have a slower - acting throttle on mine and like it. $25 from Motion Pro. "CR" Throttle A 10-12 oz.Flywheel Weight will also help A LOT if you have the 3.5 inch diameter ignition. The engine seems to like it a...

    Aluminium sump-pipe guard DIY

What a fabrication ! Does the job in rocks, but will add 20-30 lbs. when packed with mud ! Still, very artistic . Jeff.

    Mineral oil in the clutch

Seal and O-ring materials are different. Look at the Master Cylinder cover to determine what you should use. Do not deviate or it will stop working right.

    LTR power valve cover

It is not as hard as it sounds to take out the shims. If you can do a top end job, you could do it.... I did and got exactly what I wanted, more off idle grunt - a lot more ! If you have a good single-taper carb needle, like a CCK, it will be controllable, too ! Not a wild hit, but more...
