My EC2018 died on the trail a few weeks ago...Buddy has a 2012 and I'm wondering same thing. Can we use his CDI for a spark test. I have ruled out kill switch, spark cap ect.

Gents, Does anyone know if I connect a 2012 EC250R CDI in my 2018 EC250 for a spark test cause any mapping problems later? Lost all spark in my 2018. Disconnect kill switch and no spark. Tested spark plug cap with Ohms meter and looks good. Want to use the 2012 CDI just for Test.

Just remove it. Starts first kick and saves weight. Took mine off after purchase.
