    Work required is similar but different. The floating AC requires the generator removing and modifying. This allows the existing grounds for lights to remain in place. Floating the DC system, does not need any mods to the generator side of things. But the whole DC system needs the earths...

    Go on the Spanish GasGas site and look at the download manuals. The later manuals after about 2006 have wiring diagrams on the last page. The wiring is just about the same for all model years.

    Several months down since I converted and I have a 60 watt headlight, which is run all the time the bike is running. The bulb intensity does not vary with revs, even on a fresh start up after a couple of days, the battery stays charged all the time, so the system pumps out in excess of 60 watts...

    Looking at the wiring diagram from the link provided, the headlight looks to be regulated AC, the tail, brake lights etc seem to be DC. So not a full DC conversion.

    I had a rich bottom end and doing searches I came across the solutions below.
