Crank bearing. These engines have sealed bearings, and someone at SKF forgot to put lube in the bearing before the seal was installed. Somehow it went nearly 20 hours before seizing. Quite amazing actually.

That's two 2010 300's in Canada that have had catastrophic failures that I am aware of.

We had a 2010 300EC seize a crank bearing with less than 20 hours. After disassembly I found that the bearing had no grease at all... NONE! Why does GasGas run a sealed bearing on their cranks?

That bike looks like it has Scorpion Racing radiator frames and skidplate with a different logo...........

I don't suppose any of you could do me a favor and take a picture of your headlight bulb properly installed from the backside. I took the bulb out, and now a couple weeks later I can't seem to figure out how the spring that holds it in place, fits in there......... don't ask, It's been a long week.

Have any of you Nambotin owners added a steering damper yet?

Should I install foam between my skidplate and engine or not? I am worried that the foam will just become a heavy piece of swamp water that cakes muck worse than ever. Who had done it? Who has regretted it? The foam I have is very open cell. It came with the Scorpion Racing skidplate.

As stated above, you do have to dump what little oil comes in the transmission and refill it with 900ml. Or if you have filled it with the wrong oil, your clutch will slip and squeal and burn.

What do the pvc spacers do? are they simply there to protect the bolt threads?

I bet you didn't know that Saskatchewan also has a GasGas dealer? I live in Rocanville. I don't have my Nambotin plated, but I do have a plate on my XR650R. I had no problems at all.

Continued The other fit issue is with the bottom grommet on the radiator supports. Simply remove the grommet and all is well.

Scorpion Racing Radiator Frames I recently installed a set of Scorpion Racing's radiator frames. They are a high quality, stout product. I did however run into a problem when installing these frames. Steve designed the frames around a bike that had the stock louvers swapped side for side...
