Thinking about parting out 2000 ec300

OK Everyone. Sorry to inform you, but I sold the whole motorcycle this morning. A friend who rode it in the past was looking for a bike and asked me if I had one for sale. Short story made shorter, he picked it up this morning. I got the $ I wanted and he got a working motorcycle that...

    Power Valve Opens Too Fast?

My 2005 EC300 lacked the low-end power that my 2000 XC300 has. The big difference was compression. I ended up swapping the stock head for a RB modified head and I got my monster back. With a CCL needle, it's a rheostat.

Thinking about parting out 2000 ec300

It should. It has the same engine case.

Thinking about parting out 2000 ec300

Hi Folks, I am thinking about parting out my Y2K EC300. It is not being ridden and I want to build a cafe racer for my wife. If there is enough interest in the parts, I'll pull it apart. It still has one of the sweetest engines. WP 43mm forks valved for 165 expert enduro racer Ohlins...

Check you front axel to see if it is bent. That can cause problems like you describe.

    Long time away

Thanks guys. I was given a streetbike and got sucked in. It sure feels good to slide the bike around. Hollister Hills was pretty dry and slick. The winds from last week dried everything out. On one of the videos, I marked the position on the map next to it, but a quick Google maps search of...

    Long time away

Hello guys, It's been a while since I have been around. I busted up my shoulder last August and really just started riding off-road again. I also have a GoPro I take along now. Here are a couple from yesterday. http://youtu.be/u1_Uuu5qb4w?hd=1 http://youtu.be/vgvspsXe2KQ?hd=1 It sure...

    Props to go fasters

I ordered a Grenada headlight shell for my 2005 EC300 from GoFasters. What I go was the new headlight shell. I really like the new shell, but it used a different headlight. I call up GoFasters to find out what happened and I got the new '05 headlight shell and not the Grenada that I...

    Bend away.

    Sidestand spring flings

I used a small piece of scrap metal rather than the chain side plate. MUCH, MUCH easier to drill than the hardened chain material.

    Helmet painting

No more custom painted helmets for me. I had a beautiful Arai VX-Pro that I had custome painted. I gave the artist liberty to do as he pleased and was impressed. I crashed landing head-first in the rocks. Expensive helmet with expensive pait job now worthless.

    FMF gnarly on 06 ec300

Both my 2000 and 2005 arrived with FMF Gnarly pipes. The 2000 is an XC and never had a screaming top end, but low-end and mid-range power is where that bike shines. The 2005 is an EC (with the dual map ignition) and stock, it would scream on top. Now with Ron's cut head, it's a beast down low...

    Vegas Endurocross

I'm no help other than this sugestion if you have no other luck. Call the different rental companys to find out who rents pick-up trucks. I think Budget has Ford Rangers.
