O rings are brand new.. As per my previous post it turned out to be the chain after all, I hadn't taken up the slack after going a tooth smaller on the front sprocket.. I'm glad it's sorted anyway

Well I feel really stupid! I was 100% sure the wasn't the chain, however I completely forgot I went down a tooth on the front while the bike was in bits ... I'll get my coat

Thanks...Actually the rod was extremely close (maybe even touching) It did it before the new piston but not this loud, cylinder bore is fine for now

Firstly thanks to all who helped me with advice in my previous thread, the bike is now back together and is running rather sweet on a zero hour piston... That is until I ride it What d'you guys think.... It sure as hell ain't the chain..lol https://vimeo.com/163089683

Oooh .. Some goodies arrived this morning :-)

This is the only pic I have sorry .. But you can make out how much thicker it is by the lack of profile... It's almost flat!

Ive purchased the tall/soft version, and compared to my old seat and my ktm seat this is luxury! The only work I had to do was cut the small hole for the seat retaining bolt as is comes blanked but is "cast" ready for removal so no guesswork required

Yeah, large hole on the pv mechanism housing side, small hole (pointless and usually blocked) on the pv exhaust housing side) .. As I said it appears to only screw into the void between the closest pv housing bolt.. I cannot see any obvious reason why opening up the nipple to its full bore would...

I don't think there will be any consequences of drilling it through as all it does is vent into the threaded aperture where the pv housing bolt goes
