2001 EC200 - No Fuel Flow Into Bowl

I checked all the vents, and they seem to be clear, or I cleared them in the process and didn't know it. I tried the "tip her over till she leaks fuel" method and that seems to have worked. Started first kick after 5 days. I also run fuel level low, so I'm wondering if the best method may be to...

2001 EC200 - No Fuel Flow Into Bowl

That would be me, except sorta the other way around... I have a 250 jug/piston on a 200 bottom end. That's how I bought it. Supposedly it was a direct swap. I know it runs like a crazy Spanish horse! I put in a new piston in last year and had the lower end rebuilt. The guys at Hall's in...

2001 EC200 - No Fuel Flow Into Bowl

Hello all, Long time since I've posted. My 100% rebuilt EC200+ (as like to call her) has been performing amamzingly all season. She is one awesome woods eating machine. Of late she has started to not start after sitting for a few days. This is a simple but perplexing problem. I've combed...

Sloppy Rear Brake Pedal and Slotted Clevis Fix - 2001 EC200

The pedal bushing shouldnt be "attached" if you will unless it has corroded or otherwise stuck to the frame. The short end fits into the bracket that is welded onto the frame, I suppose it could become "stuck" here. Tap it and see if it pops off. The long end of the bushing goes into the pedal...

    ec300/2002

Meant right, spelled wrong! That's where I need one of those new brain fart checkers, versus a spell checker! My 2003 EC300 manual shows 14/48, a 2006 manual shows 13/47. I which I could have owned one from new so I could confirm :) Some day... It seems like many of the older bikes have had the...

    ec300/2002

If you feel your bike runs good, sounds right, and the plug shows it is jetted correct, take a look at the gear ratios between the two bikes. A 250 that is geared lower (12/52 for example) may be able to push past a higher geared bike especially in the lower gears. A stock EC300 is 14/38 (I...

    13/48 to 13/50

I cant really comment on the ratio. I run 12/52 (4.33) on an EC250 (2001). It's what I bought it with and I am used to it. It works well in technical stuff, I have seen some people comment not to use anything smaller than a 13 in the front due to chain wear? Take a look at the sproket ratio...

    SHE IS ALIVE - 2001 EC200 Rebuild/Restore

First Long Ride on the Rebuild We hit Badlands offroad park in Attica, Indiana for 9 hours yesterday and my GG performed flawlessly. Perfect starts, great power, just awesome, and I love these Ohlin 48's all tuned in. It was great to finally hit the trails! I also love the way she turns heads...

Sloppy Rear Brake Pedal and Slotted Clevis Fix - 2001 EC200

First long ride with the new clevis and bushing I have to say it performed awesome. I stuggled all last year with what I thought was a poor rear braking system for Gas Gas, but I knew I couldn't blame GG, the system is nearly identical to my KDX that locks the rear with barely a touch. It was...

    WTB for blue headlight plastic

Thanks gasser... she's gonna look funy with the old yellow one, and I cant quite make the leap to a universal number plate or a UFO headlight.

    Extreem Enduro Pipe Protection

Great work fixmare! In the USA we call that a cow catcher, and it looks more than capable of doing the job!

    WTB for blue headlight plastic

WTB blue headlight plastic Looking for a blue headlight shroud in decent shape. I have a 2001, but I think the headlight fits several years. I ws looking at some of the aftermarket lights/plates, but I like the OEM look of the gasser! Thanks!

    Clutch Cover Oil Leak - 2001 EC200

Quick FYI - I put my bike back together last week (2001 EC200/250) and had a severe oil leak from the bottom of the clutch cover. I tried to retighten, with no luck, so I pulled the cover and made a new gasket out of some thicker more durable felpor material. When I reassembled, I discovered the...
