Hi Neil, thanks. My bike is an e start model with the estart removed. However, the CDI wasn?t changed on removal, just the motor and ring gear removed and the plastic cover fitted.

On a 2014 250, should you or shouldn?t you be able to still kickstart the bike with a dead or no battery? Bike died this morning whilst in the woods, no lights, no speedo nothing. Tried to kick start it and wouldn?t go. Pulled plug to check for spark, no spark. Got home tested battery, 2.0v...

I was a bit lazy and left the battery in place. I just removed the motor and the live feed from the starter relay and then fitted the plastic magneto cover.

There was a bit of hesitation but I managed to adjust that out with air screw. Idle is perfect, it?ll sit there idling all day. Fuel flow to the carb is definitely ok, no blocked filters. I?ve not checked the breather tubes in honesty, that?s something to look at too, thanks.
