Bike was all stock. Needle was lowered 2 notches around May or so. Stock main & pilot. When the needle was leaned thats when it became a ripper. It runs ok on bottom. Once your into the mid range it spools up fast. My son smashed the stock pipe pretty good and just put a Gnarly on it. That didnt...
No kidding around. Its the strongest 250 Ive ridden. My son bought as a leftover last Dec. In the spring mud with fatter jetting didnt seem too much a issue. Although my son felt the clutch was slipping, in fact was just the rear spinning whenever it came on the pipe. Now its dry and traction is...
I was in a real hurry to get bike together Sat so we could ride Sunday. I never even thought about checking the compression. I have a nice guage and will check both bikes. The only solder I have is .88mm. I will have to aquire a piece of larger sized solder and I will see what the squish is too.
On the work order I asked for overall power increse. I already knew his standard head mod was supposed to run on pump premium. I can say the GG head was cut. The bowl looks to be half the size it was before. I dont recall squish but I know he stresses the importance of that.
Such a good power...
No. I just took a pic of the head before. Didnt take one after. My orange 250 is much like my old 300 now with bottom to mid pull. But it still retains the smoothness of a 250 and revs out better than a 300. I havent ridden my sons EC yet, but he is very pleased with his bike.
I have a 07 250XC and a 07 250EC out in garage. The right side looks like it could work. The hose ends are close and you could probly remove the air bleeder from the top and put a hose nipple on it for the resevior. The outlets arent as close on the left side. Plus you would have to solder in a...
I have attained alot of GG knowledge threw this site and have some to give back now. There is a guy on KTM talk who does head mods. He has been getting very positive reviews. Since I was putting a new piston in my 250XC I sent my head to him. After i got it back I was most impressed. I asked him...
The OZ dollar exchange plus shipping I'd guess $110-130. Just a guess though.
I bought Force rad guards (from the land of convicts) for $129 shipped to my door.
Just ordered a skid plate from Utah Sport Cycle. $64 is a real steal compared to what some want for a GG skid plate. I have these on all our bikes. They are built rugged and hold up to abuse.
Regularly priced at $71, you can get 10% of now if you mention xmas08. They had two on the shelf...
