"40 millimeters lower than the range of EC models"
The EC spec says 960mm. 960-40=920 (36.2").
ECR specs says 940mm (37"), which is NOT that short.
IMO there's a typo or they are using common core math.
And now it is 200 and 300.
I would rock a 200 ECR in New England.
I wonder if the non ranger EC 200 pipe would fit on it. I believe many people with XTrainer change to the 300RR pipe. Wake it up little. They also need to upgrade their suspension. The GG Ranger could be a better starting point...
Damn you GG! Sucking me back in! I would take a 250 ECR for the fun technical riding we have in the New England area. We shall see what happens in the next few months.
It has been a long time since I owned a GG. Long time since I posted here. The Ranger definitely peaked my interest. I've been bugging Josh at St. Hilaire Motorsports. I'm very interested in the 2019 Beta 200RR and the Sherco 300 Sef-r. I'm not ready to buy anything but I'm watching...
lurk now

Where's skidad? He does more mtn biking then dirt biking. Maybe he'll check in then again...
I'm still checking in here but no dirt bike riding. I don't even have one. Mostly mtn biking. Love how quite it is out there on the single track. I'm getting old. ;)
Great info!
I see the biggest hurdle for 2-stroke DI is the patents.
Not much else is available unless GG wants to build their own DI system. I don't see that happening any time soon. I would not do it with the economies around the world being on edge. The only other option is to pay the...
The Ski-Doo ETEC's all have expansion chambers. It looks like the same size as a non-ETEC'S motor. They also have exhaust valves. The plugs are good for 10,000 miles. One pull and the sled starts every time. Runs and idles clean. Cleaner then the 4-strokes. No smell and no smoke.
The etec...
