I took my starter apart and cleaned it up. Rust inside. Water damage. Now it starts great again. All I did was clean u the commutator and clean up the brushes so they would move in and out. Problem solved

I haven't had to adjust mine, but I believe someone said it is behind the TBI red cover. Man, your having a heck of a time with that bike. Start issues, throttle hanging up and now idle issues.

I got home Friday night and took my starter apart. The one brush had corrosion and I cleaned it up so it would make contact with the armature. Cleaned everything up and made sure the brush that was "stuck" moved freely. Put it back together and it started right up! Looks like water got in...

Just ordered both parts for the bike. Oh well, 450 bucks better spent on the bike than drinking.......

I also broke the kick start lever trying to start it. Kinda disappointed in this today. Always started, but in retrospect, it always seemed to labor very hard when it turned over.

The more I ride this bike, the more I like it! It isn't one of my YZ's, but it still is sweet to ride. I wish there was more info on the bike for sure..... Did I mention that it is ROAD LEGAL???!!! My Yz's can't do that!!!

Thanks. No I don't think it is an air leak. The guy I bought it off of had a bunch of particles in the injectors or something. Had to wait another week to get it, as I told him I wasn't buying if it didn't run. He got it to run Might be what it is then. Most of it probably has moved on...
