Well, good news. I found the All Balls part number and gave it to my local parts guy and he was able to order them after all. $25 for the set. Part number is 56-149 by the way if anyone runs across this post in the future.

Turned out the bulb I was testing with had one beam burned out. I just mounted an LED light bar and now I'm trying to wire in a DC reg/rectifier, but I don't have a white wire coming out of the stator. I posted more details in the DC sticky at the top.
