2003 EC200 Setup for Lightweight Rider

Are you located in the USA? If you are, then I'd contact OhlinsUSA in Hendersonville NC and ask them about price & turn around time. They might surprise you. I was able to take my '01 XC 200 shock to them. Took them about two hours and about 200 bucks to rebuild using my old spring. RB

2004 Gas Gas EC 250 Restoration

Looks really good. Well done. These older GG's are still great bikes, well worth the effort to keep them running. I got my '01 XC 200 out of moth balls the other day, after leaving it sit for 18 months. It fired right up & ran great. Where I live & ride, a plated 4T get ridden more often. In...

Rad Shroud Fitment and Fork Stiction

Your '03 200 sounds like my '01 XC 200 experience. I bet new seals & fresh oil will fix your forks. My '01 forks are WP, pretty much same as KTM . No help on the tank issue. Mine came with the stock tank. These 200's just sip fuel so never felt the need for a larger tank. Enjoy your new to...

    twitchy steering behaviour 2015 EC200

I always balance the tires on my dirt bikes as well as the dual sport bikes. Go to a street bike shop and buy an assortment of spoke weights like they use on Harley spoke wheels. Or, just drop off the wheel/tire assemblies and have them balance them for you. Since you've set the rear sag...

Fmf gnarly figment for the 2001 ec250

I bought a new FMF Gnarly off Ebay for my '01 XC200. It was listed as fitting a '01 thru '09 200, 250 & 300. It fit perfectly. My bike already had the FMF silencer. RB

    What's it worth?

I'd offer 1200 USD, but would go as high as $1500 if I really liked it. I paid $1200 for my '01 that looked about like this one . I really like mine. I see this one has later model Excel rims. That's a nice upgrade. No matter how well it checks out, you know it'll need some TLC. Turned out...

Sounds like some of our family outings in years past. They grow up before you know it. RB

    Squeak, squeak, squeak

Over here, it usually comes multigrade. I guess you just need to pick one and give it a try. If you have trouble with clutch drag, then I'd try the 75 wt. RB

    Squeak, squeak, squeak

It's a gearbox oil that's formulated to work with wet clutches. It is not an engine oil. Here in the USA, Bel Ray & Golden Spectro are the two I've used with good results. It'll usually be in a 75/90 weight rather than the 10/30 or 10/40 that we're used to. My experience has been smooth...
