IMHO
I've had all three cc configurations
While its counter intuitive, the 300 is the easiest to control and has the most torque.
That being said, put a rekluse in any of them and a totally noob could ride any of them
Provided the rekluse is set up properly
Plus you will get traction when...
call oregon state and get an orv tab for riding, off road, they will mail it to you for $10 if you get caught tell them it has a tab and that most states reciprocate other state tabs. keep the title in oregon with someone you know

2012 as a race bike could be risky
Most likely they didn't want to test out a new bike that hasn't been race proven. Can't say that I blame them, being a guinea pig for a new frame could be disastrous for a team and GasGas.
These are for all years except 2008
They are the half moon shaped dampers and are unused.
I bought them from Halls for $5 each.
I'll sell them for $40 including shipping.
Send paypal to hh@quick2m.com with your address.
cushions
The dampers or cushions are $5 each plus shipping.
I got mine from Halls $46 with shipping, same price at Gofasters.
I have a set for sale if anyone is interested, unused!
Fits me
Just sold my 2009 KTM 300 for a 2011 GasGas 300
I'm 6"1" and use a tall seat and the EE handlebar risers.
Fits me perfect, no issues, if you wanted more room, use the Fastway footpegs with the lowboy position.
