    gopro upload

As previously mentioned, youtube will compress your clip, and if its helmet cam style footage on a dirtbike, you will notice the quality has dropped from your original footage. I suggest you do your local editing and export a high quality final video. Save that file for local viewing in the...

    INFO on 2014 GG??

My 2010 has the Sachs, and for my level of enthusiast trail riding, they are very good. Out of the box they were much closer to the valving I desire than the 2007 with Ohlins shock I had previously. I'm not intending to upgrade any time soon. On the wishlist, I would like to see some...

How long for new rings to seat?

Barring any incidents im planning to do 150hrs on my 2010 300. I know of several that have done that before the top end was removed, and still looked pretty good. I trail ride, no racing and my pace is best described as "moderate" :)

    Linkage washers-do they really matter?

I have to agree with GMP on how good the linkage is for seal/bearing integrity and long life. --quote-- The washer/ oring setup is the best in the business for seal integrity and bearing life, IMO.

'Upgrade' to a KTM 350EXC from My GG 300EC?

I suggest you look very closely at the cost of running a ktm 350. Look at how many hours to piston/conrod replacement, and price that.

    2010 ec250 $3,950

Nice bike. Same model I have, and mine only has ~55 hours on it, which is barely run in :)

    needle choice

It took a while, but I now have the NEDJ in my 2010 300 with 38mm AS-II carb. It seems good, no more 1/8-1/4 throttle rich burble.

    needle choice

My bike is stock, 95 Ron (compression not that high, no point running 98, it may run worse) , sea level to 600M occasionally. 15-25 deg C here. Bike only has 30hrs on it due to me getting injured. Im back riding now. Did you ever run that needle with the stock head?

    needle choice

Jakobi Do you know which suzuki the NEDJ is from, or do you perhaps have a part number? I'm keen to try one here in NZ. It seems the 2010 with 38mm AS-II is a real in-between model. The 2012 bikes locally have the 36mm carb, the 2009 have the AS-I. I've been off the bike for months with an...

    New To Gas Gas

If you want to talk jetting, Linton will be able to suggest a good starting point, and a few needles depending on your pref. Out of the box the jetting is terrible. http://dasmoto.co.nz/

    Some work with Slow-mo

Good job! I like the staging, editing etc (ridings pretty good too). Ive seen worse shots on some "commercial" riding vids.

    earthquake central!

Im also in chch, but on the largely undamaged northern side. I was expecting my bike to be on the floor, but it kept standing. I had my 2007 stand modded, but this 2010 seems much improved, unless my dealer/mech friend already tweaked it.

who knows computers? wondering which one to buy..

Forget the AMD C series 1GHz, thats going to be quite slow. The HP would probably be fine for what you have stated. The spec looks good. Laptop displays seem to vary in clarity quite a lot from model to model, so I prefer to see them in a shop before buying. A friend of mine is looking at one...

Progress on the sidevalve 4 stroke?

I would see it as a non competition, low cost of ownership, low center of gravity option for the enduro/trail rider. 30ish HP wouldnt be bad. Many people are still happy enough with their XR250/CRF230 or similar, with suspension improvements. Apparently there is a class of trails/x-country...

    Erzberg Rodeo - EC 300

Very good videos. He does seem to be crusing on the easy stuff, apart from at the start. He makes the climbs seem easy - I suspect hes quite a good rider - maybe not crazy fast but slow and steady. The camera view makes it hard to appreciate the gradients i think. At one point he stalls at the...
