Water can enter through your breather hoses or it can be the coolant. I say you warm the engine, drain thoroughly, change the oil and route both hoses upward. Ride and avoid water crosses for a while to eliminate the possibility that this is the culprit. Water pump gasket(s) are next step IMO.

My reference to the '05 and newer concerned the revised frame(steering angle I believe) and the CDI with dual maps. Either way, just be sure to give any used bike a thorough inspection. Don't look at the plastic or tires, get it on a stand and check wheel/linkage bearings, spokes, and ask about...

Is the lever broken, or did the previous owner cut it down for two finger use? Fitting some handguards is tough with long levers. Congrats on the bike.

Pretty sure the shrouds will work, but not the tank. I believe the bikes prior to '03 had the higher shock mount and therefor the famous notch in the tank. Later tanks without the cut-out would sit on the shock mount - not good. I've read of guys making the '04 SA work on '01 models, but...

So how can a Rootkit Trojan be detected? My 5 year-old plays on the computer and I also find alot of spyware/adware. Lately the machine is slow, saw this post and makes me wonder. I defragment, run spyware programs, etc. Anything else?

Don't know about forks, shock has the rate in #'s on spring. Look for a 54(5.4) or a 56(5.6) as last two #'s.
