    Ec250 fuel tank inserts

Well I managed to fill the two holes where the previous owner missed the inserts and screwed straight into tank. Not bad for first attempt at plastic welding using a soldering iron

    Ec250 fuel tank inserts

Yeah, that's why I removed it, it was probably just the screw plugging the hole and the RTV being retained by screw.

    Ec250 fuel tank inserts

I'm not sure either, never used it before. Maybe someone on here can tell us if it's fuel resistant. If not, may be I can make a plug to seal hole and then use P-tex or plastic weld to retain it. I think it's going to be trial and error until I find a solution

    Ec250 fuel tank inserts

I'm not sure yet. I have ordered some plastic welding rods, and some p-tex. The previous owner had sealed it with another screw and black RTV. Any ideas???

    EC250 Fuel Flow

Yes I removed the rubber gasket, but couldn't see s metal disk, it looked like a black plastic disk with a little hole in??? Il remove the inline filter and check cap again, but seemed very clean inside of the cap

    Ec250 fuel tank inserts

I didn't measure it, but I'd estimate the holes where the inserts go are approx 7mm deep, but il measure tomorrow with a vernier. The thickness of the tank where they missed and screwed into tank is only approx 1.5 to 2mm thick

    Ec250 fuel tank inserts

Well I just removed tank and somebody had botched the inserts. One was made out of piping, another out of a dust cap. And they also missed with two of the screws and pierced the tank!

    EC250 Fuel Flow

Well took the cap and pipe off, and seems clear, what I did notice is that the end of breather pipe pushes on to a clip on the handle bars to stop it moving about. This was full of dirt so could have been blocking end of breather pipe. Does the breather pipe need a one way valve fitted...
