Top of piston picture is attached. It's been a couple years since I had this cylinder replated. I don't remember who did the work, I'm trying to go back over records. I sent a new piston in with the cylinder and cylinder was supposed to be plated to match the piston. I don't think I checked...

Water pump seems fine. Radiators were full, impeller looks fine. I didn't touch the cylinder for a few minutes after it locked up, but when I did, it wasn't hot.

I've had a hand-me-down hebo sns series jacket for ~6 years now. I wear it as a jacket all winter long, and a few times in races. It's been a great jacket, and if anything happens to it, I'll probably get the newest version.

3.00. You are 'free' 2 miles before, and 3 miles after a check. The number on the right is the amount of free miles you want. Not sure why it would change, unless you weren't using AMA rules, or you knew there would be more free territory.

Where are you located in Knoxville? I'm in Maryville and interested in looking at your bike. Any idea how many hours are on the bike? Has it been raced? Do you know the name of the original owner?

The newer side # plates won't work. I think '01 was when they changed to the side access air filter box. The '00 used a one piece plate on both sides. I think a kx # plate is pretty close (I think that's what I've got).

Should work no prob. My 2000 had '01 plastics on it when I bought it, now it has '02. Just unbolt one set, bolt the other on.

I spoke with someone at Dixie/Iron Mountain yesterday about the Gas Gas situation. He basically said the distributor change was in the works, but hadn't happened yet (obviously). He did say Dixie had 10 or 15 bike still in stock and offered to set me up as a dealer. I've been watching...

Time. I ordered one from the local dealer, but given the whole distribution issue right now, I'd like to have a back up in case the part doesn't show before my race this weekend.

Anybody know if another brand selector spring (spring on shift shaft, beside clutch) will fit an '00 xc 250?
