I promptly returned the pseudo high speed nut back to its original position. Rode 45 miles of single track today and it performed great. Thanks for all the info. As a new gas gas owner I will follow your advice and disregard the inconsistent, inaccurate, "owners manual". Thanks

I rode with it out 2 turns yesterday. Did I screw anything up? It seemed to handle fine. All though I did not notice any improvement on the high speed side. I believe it is my rebound but I did not have a 3 mm Allen to make any adjustment.

Hello there, Setting up my new 2012 ec 200. Manual says the ohlins shock has a certain number if clicks on the high speed adjustment. It was turned all the way in (clockwise) when I received the bike. When I turned it counter clockwise there are no clicks. I assume it is like other shocks...

Check my post "2012 ec 200 jetting issues". From a couple days ago. I had some very similar issues and it was related to my choke being on or partially on. The throttle cable was not adjusted properly. And to top it off my idle screw was in way too far. Good luck.

You were absolutely correct. I had broken one of the golden rules and made some assumptions. . . . Such as the bike was assembled correctly. The throttle cable and choke were both causing problems. Explains the erratic and poor performance. So I started over. Set the float at 17.5 mm and...

It's the as1 carb with the threaded cap. No engine mods. And with the needle standing vertically top is #1 and bottom is #5. I spoke with JD Jetting today and he suggested the RED needle, #2, 175 main, air screw 1 to 1 3/4. Try it with the 42 pilot.

The temps are between 60-70. My slide is a number 6 I was going to get a 38 pilot as well. I had the air screw out 3-4 turns in an effort to lean up the 42 pilot. Since I'm new to 2 strokes I will need to learn about squish and power valves. Thanks for the quick reply.
