Hi, I have verified that this does work. You can checkout www.wiseco.com and they list a standard compression and a high compression for the DRZ. These are the same pistons as your 400.

I ended up rebuilding my stock gasgas pedal. Gofasters sent me the parts to rebuild the mounting point and I welded up the end because it was all rounded out and the tip was held on by the spring so my buddy carefully rebuilt the end with weld and I redrilled a new hole and put a new tip...

Ive heard electric start on the KTM two strokes in 08 and direct injection similar to direct injection used in the marine market in 2009. Either way it should be real interesting. Im sure GasGas is looking at this too, I hope anyways! :D
