The Antigravity ATZ7-8 Lithium battery does seem like a older one, but it is still for sale on Amazon and eBay here in the States.
This battery was the final piece of the puzzle to make my starter work reliably. I love it. I don't use the kicker anymore (although I like having the kicker option).
One more detail. When I drained the fork outer oil I measured about 320mm. So I used 320mm of the 5 wt Honda HP fork oil with the new springs.
I did not replace the inner cartridge oil yet since my kitchen pass was expiring near the end of this springs project. Outer oil was pretty clean, but...
Update
I bought my springs from matto cycles since they are a supporter of this site.
https://www.mattocycle.com
They supplied Race Tech springs 0.46 for fork with necessary spacers to make them the same length as stock and a 5.8 spring for the shock.
I preloaded the rear shock spring 10mm...
Your insights are greatly appreciated and I got a good chuckle considering Nate?s state of play.:D
Will ring up the dealer and have him send the 0.46 forks and 5.8 shock spring.
Cheers, Steve
My riding weight is about 102 kg, or 225 pounds so need heavier springs than stock 0.42 kg/mm fork and 5.2 kg/mm shock.
Thinking I should get 0.46 for fork and 5.8 for shock. Primarily tight single track in 2nd and 3rd gear. 62 year old trail riding C pace and sitting about 50% of the time...
I think I fixed my 2018 starter by installing a more powerful 240 CCA battery yesterday. I bought the Antigravity ATZ7-8 Lithium battery that Gasgas recommends to fix the starting problems for the 2018 and 2019 250 and 300s.
Yes that is the 8 cell battery. It only takes 4 cells connected in...
Nate I am not sure what the difference is but some bikes seem to have more friction in the starter assembly, gearing, shafts, etc and/or the CDI needs more voltage to fire the spark plug.
If everything is properly toleranced as designed and the CDI is a nice sparky one then the stock battery...
After previously installing the thicker battery, starter and ground cables I think I fixed my 2018 starter by installing a more powerful 240 CCA battery yesterday. I bought the Antigravity ATZ7-8 Lithium battery that Gasgas recommends to fix the starting problems for the 2018 and 2019 250 and...
I really liked a used 2007 EC300 after I revalved the forks and shock, jetted the carb and added a thicker seat foam.
I sold that bike and bought a brand new 2018 EC300 for the newness, KYB Suspension and Electric start. I did not find the 2018 to be a significant improvement for the trail...
I was able to successfully lower my brake pedal height by loosening the lock nut near the bottom of the master cylinder plunger threaded rod and then turning the plunger where it emerges from the master cylinder rubber boot.
Easy and worked a treat!
Thanks for posting gasgasman!
Cheers Steve
The starter motor brushes are most likely fried due to too much friction in the Bendix end cap bore. The too tight tolerances on the end cap to Bendix shaft creates too much friction which bogs down the starter so too much current flows through the starter. This is called the locked rotor...
