All,
I'm looking to buy a FSE 400 and the owner reports the starter does not work and needs a one way clutch to fix it.
How common is this fault, how much would it cost to fix?
How many hours to do it myself?
Thanks in advance
I'm wondering whether to use a drink that contains easy to digest energy sugar/glucose type thing for 2 + 2 hour or 3 hour hare n hounds (flat out the whole time) to replace the water I normally use?
What do people use - do you find a noticeable benefit over water only?
But at WOT and 3/4-max rpm I assume the power valve will be fully open and will have been fully open for quite a long time? (does any-one know rpm's the port opens as std?)
It would be fine if I were racing for shorter times but its coming out of corners revving up I need nearly all the power I'm getting I'll be WOT and as the revs build to 3/4-max (at a guess) there's a hit and the acceleration makes it difficult to hang on when you've been racing for 2 hours...
How do I soften the hit from the top end of my EC300.
It's only high engine speed and wide open throttle I want to change - it's got to be main jet size but richer or leaner?
Main is currently 178 if that makes any odds.
I would like to do this but the thought occurs that the valve will have to be more or less touching your lips the whole time since there's no way to reach forward to drink only move your lips
Does that annoy/distract you? Does it get in the way?
Full throttle - so your sitting position leans the bike over further?
I'll have a new front tyre for the next event (but partially worn rear)
There is a lot of conflicting info on whether to drift the rear round corners or not , the video I posted says yes - some others say no...
But I...
Lower than 6 psi that I have already??
Ive been looking at this video quite a bit

I think if I want to get faster I need to change my technique to this which will be quite a big change and a lot to learn. I think I'm riding more like a road bike (rear wheel not...
The only time I dropped the forks the front sort of tucked when riding uphill corners stood up so I put it back and have no more handling problems.
I think I need to try a new cornering style wider line and aggressive with the throttle after watching some YouTube clips which are quite good...
Finished a race on Sunday - a lot of flat grass and mud corners I would say corner speed plus entry and exit speeds will determine 95% of your overall time.
I had a decent front tyre on - used quite a bit for over a year but not severely worn and my corner speed is limited by its grip - I know...
