    Marzocchi Shiver reassembly help needed.

Darren: I linked to your stack in my post, it was very similar to what I have written down for my 08 shivers. Problem is that it doesn't work with the shims that Mcnut got out of the fork.

    2008 vs. 2010

The new frame is more rigid, being a B-profile, instead of the previous D-profile. I guess that might make a difference in the handling, though I can't imagine that I would notice it (slow rider). I heard (read in UK mag TBM, maybe?) that the new frame dimensions were very similar, if not...

    2008 vs. 2010

The 2010 plastics will fit 07/08 bikes? I haven't been able to get any info on this otherwise. Would be nice to know that I could update. I heard that the new frame was very similar dimension-wise, but that maybe the new B form will alter the fit of the plastics.... /Steve

    Transnission shift shaft.

Don't you have to just remove right-side cover and the clutch basket? The kick gears shouldn't be in the way. Have done the same job on an YZ, but never an EC, so I could be mistaken.

    Gas Gas success

Indeed, why redesign everything so radically ever few years? A steadily improving model, like GG uses, is much better imho. Why re-invent the wheel the whole time?

    Tyres for Icy conditions

You may have a very good point there. I've always dismissed best grip on price. You may save a few bucks compared to ready-made, but then you have to spend an hour or two screwing them in. Of course stud re-usability on different tyres, or being able to replace worn/broken ones would make a big...

    Tyres for Icy conditions

Yes, but very expensive and not really any good without proper permafrost. Not really a viable option for UK climate imo. Maybe worth trying Huskydudes solution. I've heard that cutting up an old inner tube and using it to line the inside of the tyre will prevent the flexing of the screw heads...

Why are GG riders so down on KTM?

I think that dave948 has a point there. I rode a suzuki DR before and broke a clutch lever on an offroad event. Got offered 3 or 4 KTM hydraulic levers..... DRs have a cable clutch. KTM never really appealed to me, the're just too "common". I did have a pink '96 TM250 before though.......
