Part Two
Part Two...
After a few more nice tracks and numerous bogs we finally got to the top, approximately 600m above sea level
The weather was crap, with hail and gale like winds battering us, but we'd been working so hard on the trails that it didn't really bother us
We hid behind the...
Part One:
Had a great day out today with the "original" crew, all present and correct as we haven't all ridden together for ages.
Started out from my house at 8am, Paul picked me up in his landy, then we headed off to get Simon, then off to meet Pete at 9am.
Simon thought he'd make my journey...
Thanks Bob
If ever you're over this part of teh world, you'd welcome to join us
PS
Had another blindingly good ride today
It was so good I got home at around 6pm and had no choice but to go to bed for a few hours, I was sooooo exhausted :)
Out for a spin
Went out into the mountains on Saturday with a couple of friends
We set off at about 10am after first having ridden to our meeting point, crickey it isn’t much fun riding a 300 stroker 18 miles you know.
Anyhow, we didn’t have our usual ride leaders with us and as all I can...
The only criticism I've heard about them is that the rims are made of toffee
But then the bike isn't designed to hit rocks at pace, rather to gently climb over them
Off road all the way through the mountains, not just trails but mainly enduro style riding, lots of rocks, rooted rutts, water, climbs and descents, very tiring ride
We only covered about 45 miles between 11:30 and 14:30
No need to look elsewhere MIKEWA
The Pampera is like a mountain goat, "progress through traction not momentum"
It's only downside is the small tank, if you can sort that it's a great bike
They are used a LOT here by LDT (long distance trial) riders, very manouverable, very nimble and will climb...
minus 3 is better, we get so damned hot riding in the mountains, mind you when we stop for a rest it gets really cold when you're soaking wet
