    New toy = huge grin.

Soooo, a year on. Yes, I still have the 250f. The quest for the perfect bike for me, (still a beginner, but I don't fall off as much) carried on for the rest of 2012. I was intending to do some enduros in 2013, but tearing my acl in nov 12 put me out of everything well into this year. Big...

    ACL/Meniscus tear questions

Thanks for this thread guys, it has helped me understand things that yesterday I had no idea about. Until my gg txt spat me off and down a bank. I have apparently (hopefully) just 'stretched' or hurt the mcl At least I know what to expect over the next few weeks/months. If it is not more serious.

Testing bullet hd head cam on an Ec 250f

The other half got me a bullet hd headcam so I put together a little vid of me using it. I am going to experiment with different placings for it, this time it is on top of my trials lid. I had to edit the film down to a couple of mins as youtube was taking forever to load the full quality 2gb...

Newer Plastic on Older GasGas show your bike

Jakobi I'm sure it does, which means my 2010 with 2011 plastics does too. (ok, ok, It's not old, but the black and red does look the dogs danglies :D

GAS GAS 450 coolant temp sensor

I might be wrong, but when someone posted the specs for some sensors, coolant, air and throttle position, they all looked very much like the magnetti marrelli ones found on the cosworths of the eighties. Have a quick ebay check of cossie sensors and see if they are the same. If they are, there...

    Clearing Logs...

The technique in the film is closer to a splatter than a zap. The zap is for (well, whatever you want ) but primarily for anything with an underhang that the back wheel can't impact using a splatter. Whichever you use they both have the same principle and are a lot easier to understand if you...

    250f Odds and mods

I fitted a switch and then wired it to the battery. I'll drop an inline fuse in when I find the box with them in. Lol. At the same time the rads will be sraightened and braces fitted. I was curious if all the bits would add much. Not bad.

    250f Odds and mods

Electrics mods, The gas gas 'module' was, err, how can I put it, crap. And it didn't work so that was speedily replaced by a black vector. I plumped for the remote as well this time which is great for doing everything without moving your hand from the bar. It has the water temp sender as well...

    250f Odds and mods

The original measurement for the hd/light to wall was 1330mm. With the links on the rear dropped 35/40mm and the new measurement at the front was 1340mm so the front had moved 10mm. Raising the forks 10mm in the yokes returned the measurement to 1325mm, so 7/8mm was tried and this rise gave the...

    250f Odds and mods

A set of hand guards went on (be rude not to really :-) Then a few personal mods. Firstly the 250f is already quite a low bike, but as I ride a trials bike most of the time, I like a bike that I can work in the tight stuff with peg weighting more than using my knees. So I picked up a set of...

    250f Odds and mods

Hauled her ladyship in for a scrub behind the ears and a few mods. First up was an oil and filter change. If you are doing one on a 250f (Yammy lump ) then treat yourself to one of these, brilliant little mess saver. Next up was some snakes. The the sump was drilled and some corse weave...

    Emergency tracker.

I must apologise, as it appears that it was my comment about there being a charge for using the spot service that began the off tangent discussion. The reason for the 'oh I suppose it will cost' attitude is that here in the uk everything really is free. If the services had a pound for every...

    Emergency tracker.

I have watched the spot video, and can see a lot of uses. For a solo rider though it really needs to be automatic after a given time. Also that one is connected to a company (who I'm sure charge) and they call the emergency services. Ideally something that contacted a named person, who could...
