18's sure look to have the right parts.

It would be a tough market being that Beta North America is based in Paso Robles. We've already seen 2 KTM dealers fail in this area (yet there's still more KTM's than Beta's at local events.) Most riders around here are either on dual sports, or still riding mx bikes. Beside's my own, I've only...

    Basic idle setting ?

Whenever I've just rebuilt a carb (any carb) I turn the idle screw until you can just start to see daylight under the slide, and turn the air/fuel screw 1 1/2 turns out from seated, that's usually a good baseline to get the bike started. It is easier to fine tune the idle down from too high of...

R&B designs, NO MORE gas gas mods?

Wow, was I really such a pain in his butt that he quit GG? I still haven't installed my RB modded head that I had him cut last year. I guess it's a good thing I didn't procrastinate that part any longer than I did!

    2018 EC250 - Wins first time out!

Why does it say "Beta" on the factory GG race trailer?

Kaurit Moto Tire Mounting Tool TMT4

Man that thing is nice, I really like that setup. The Kaurit was the nicest of all the machines I came across when I was looking for a mousse "machine" last year, but it was a bit out of my budget. I ended up buying a "Unit e1410" which seemed to closely match my wants/needs. Unfortunately since...

Link didn't work for me. Price? Location?

    Enduro-tech race.5 headlight

Nice! I put the EnduroTech Dual5 on my good friends orange dualsport last year and it was a drastic improvement in both brightness and pattern over the LED conversion bulb he was previously using. I kinda wish I had gone with the EnduroTech instead of my outrageously expensive 7" led race light...

"closed" fork guard for EC 2008

I don't know if the Ohlins are different, but you should be able to bolt on '08+ KTM fork guards (as pictured.) They have the same mounting at the bottom as the open CR/CRF open style guards, but use a different brakeline clamp.

    Different engine?

That head looks salvageable to me? I think I'd rather have a freshly machined head than a used one with possibly unknown origins.

14 years later; it's finally due for a top end.

I've done 5 test solders now, just to be sure that my results are consistent. I'm coming up with 2.94mm on one side and 3.01mm on the other. I'm not terribly concerned with the difference from one side to the other, since my transfer ports are off from side to side too I'm guessing that the...

14 years later; it's finally due for a top end.

To continue on my path of taking forever... I had no luck finding 1/8" rosin core solder anywhere today. I tried Radioshack, another electronic parts store, Home Depot, and a handfull of autoparts stores. Ended up ordering it through Napa so I'll have to wait until Tuesday.

14 years later; it's finally due for a top end.

Holy crap! Yes, a year has passed and it's not together. In that years time I've: replated the cylinder new Wossner piston set piston flush with transfer ports (still slightly above exhaust port) using 1.3mm gasket stack radiused the square section of the powervalve flapper ground and...

What fork springs are you guys using for your specific weight?

You guys are really going to dislike my setup then! 230lbs in gear .46 fork 5.8 shock I don't have my exact preload and sag numbers (or fork oil height) handy, though they are written in a notebook somewhere in my garage. I do know that the rear of the GG is at 95-100mm race sag, and I run...

    Which cylinder base gasket?

The safest bet is to install the same thickness base gasket as the one you are taking out. Anything different will alter your port timing and compression ratio. If you are looking to change power characteristics from what it had before, that is one place to start.

    Yz kickstart

Possibly... I borrowed one from a friends '06 YZ250F and it worked fine. The shape is a little different than the YZ version that I ended up buying, but it did work, the splines are the same. Check the part number of the 2011 against a 2006, if they're the same, then it should fit.
