Gas Gas Meet n Greet Ride 6!

Jim Cook, every time I've done one of these rides with Roscoe, I've thought of you. I really wish you could be here for one, they are exactly your kind of riding/socializing event. Maybe someday... I'll bet something could be arranged. I had no idea this ride was going on, Scott and I just...

Backcountry Gear i.e. tools, first aid, etc.

Spare e-clips for the carb needle :D And the other stuff mentioned. I've seen video of a buddy in Colorado sewing up a cut on a riding partners arm, just because somebody in the group "happened" to be carrying a suture kit. At the time, the discussion was about how odd it was for someone to have...

    Dirt Wise with Shane Watts

Great class, you won't regret it. Amusing story: I have the distinction of having suffered the worst injury ever at a Shane Watts school (by far, according to Shane), and I wasn't even taking the class! My son took it a couple of years ago, and I went along to watch/help with the class...

    Front brake upgrade?

I just got a set. I haven't put the front one one yet, since the front rotor isn't too bad and the pads were only about 1/2 worn out, but the rear replaced my toasted Tusk replacement rotor. I ran the new rear (solid disc) for the 90 mile Shelton Valley Enduro, and Roscoe's Meet-and-Greet ride...

    Magnesium clutch cover

Just for the record, I was forced to add the second exclamation point to that previous post, because apparently this software doesn't appreciate brevity! It wouldn't accept a post of less than 10 characters. I'm not normally that over-the-top emotive. Tim H

Gas Gas Meet n Greet Ride 5!

Ah, crap. I waited too long to commit, and Scott made other plans. Hopefully we can find another KTM to make fun of. I'll be there, anyway. The "new" stuff way to the south west? Some nice re-opened stuff over there. I spent a day playing around over there with the boy the week after the...

Gas Gas Meet n Greet Ride 5!

You realize, of course, that the punk kid on the ratty old KTM is gonna make us all look and feel every day of our ages, right? At least we can still make him work for it a little bit. I have every confidence that you will lead us on a great ride, and I'm looking forward to it. You were saying...

Gas Gas Meet n Greet Ride 5!

ATTENTION pscook You posted a mag clutch cover for sale a while back, and the for sale thread doesn't say if it was ever sold. If you still have it, could you bring it out to Tahuya tomorrow? I'm interested and pretty sure it''l fit, and if it's the cover I'm thinking of it'd look really nice...

    Magnesium clutch cover

Do you still have the clutch cover? If so (and you see this in time), could you bring it with you tomorrow to Roscoe's Meet-n-Greet ride? I plan on being there, and I think I'd like that clutch cover. I'll post this on the Meet-n-Greet ride thread too just to double my chances of you seeing...

Gas Gas Meet n Greet Ride 5!

Really late to respond, but yep, I'll be there. Most likely Scott will be too, so there will be a KTM to make fun of. I'll have to read back through the thread for details and stuff. I'm working second shift this week, so won't get home until about 12:30 - 1:00 AM, I might be a little fuzzy in...

    main bearings

Nope, that's right. Right side (primary drive side) is a ball bearing, C6206, and the left side (ignition side) is a 63/28 roller bearing. With a hot bearing/fozen crank, the bearing pretty much dropped right onto the crank, and slips into the cases much easier than you would expect. Tim H

    Average age of GG riders!!

53 YO now, started riding 45 years ago on a home made Briggs and Stratton (with no recoil starter) powered rigid-framed mini bike. After one more "better made" B&S mini, I started down the path of "real" dirt bikes (an asterisk "*" means the bike is still in my garage)... '70 Suzuki TS90J * '71...

    Steering Stops on powdercoated frames...

What did you do with this, Dean? I find myself in the same predicament. Find any cool hardware solutions for us? Tim H
