is the spacer between the 2 rear wheel bearings reqd?? is it to stop the inner bearing drifting outwards and rubbing on the outer bearing?

the oil looks like it has a little water in it,it is slightly milky ,has always gone like this since i had the bike , changed the oil and after a bit it goes this colour . where can it get contaminated from ?,read somewhere bout non return valves ???? i found 2 rubber tubes off engine both are...

think i may have sorted it,have backed the air screw out alittle more and also blanked off 1/2 the rad as advised and now it seems to go a hell of a lot better also smells like its getting hot,cheers guys
