I am only getting 3 volts max out of cdi to the coil, I've just had an email from my dealer to say the 2014 cdi isn't available anymore but they can get a 2015 one but have no idea if it'll work. Do I just need the stator and cdi off of any of the earlier ec300's?

the stator has nothing to do with the spark on the 2014 e start bikes according to the wiring diagram it just goes to the regulator and the trigger goes to the cdi the second winding goes nowhere just an empty plug. the earths and basics was the first thing i checked also being a 20+ year mechanic.

It's a genuine gas gas toggle switch ignition and yes it is e start.

No just a toggle switch to turn it on.

I have a 2 pin plug coming out of the stator with blue and red wires that isn't used and looks like it's not used on the diagram, I just have the 2 wires going from the stator to the regulator and the 2 wires from the flywheel pickup to the cdi.

Yes I did sort the flooding. It has a litium battery on it that has been fully charged and tried it with a jump pack still no go. It certainly looks like the cdi is battery powered if the wiring diagram is correct.

I've found an aftermarket one for now hopefully it's just that but I think you might be right as I am only getting 3volts AC at the coil.

Anybody know of any different make bikes that have the same coil pack as the later 14-20 ec300 part number ET500003013 or 0/005.070.9100? Can't find a genuine gas gas one in stock in the UK.

That's what I am thinking any point in trying to save them or will they be scrap?

Anybody had trouble getting the preload adjusters to move on 45mm marzocchis? Mine seem to be wound in to max preload and I can't get them to move either way are they knackered or am I missing something?
