I have an 06 ec200 on which I have disassembled the power valve. I can't get the flap out through the exhaust flange as described in the tech articles. The spigot is removed. Any tricks? My 300 one came out easily.

My 07 ec300 has just started puffing copious amounts of white smoke when on the throtle. Am I correct in assuming this is coolant. Have just switched to an Evans type waterless coolant. Anyone had trouble with this product? It's way thicker than normal coolant. Gearbox has trans fluid in it...

Because I had one a Moto Guzzi flange gasket from a 4 valve engine placed inside the flange fixed mine. Done 150 hrs with no rattles on original O rings.

Can anyone tell me the correct proceedure for establishing what thickness of base gasket to use?

07 ec300 wont rev Hi Hamish. I have identical bike with same problem. Did you pull the fuel tap apart or just out. The rubber gaskit in my fuel tap wasn't cut out properly restricting flow. I am aware of another bike seizing because of this problem. Easy fix.

On my 07 ec300 I spent a lot of time trying to get my bike to run on the main jet only to find out that the rubber gaskit in the fuel tap was not cut out correctly in the normal position passage hole. I am aware of another new bike that seized because of this problem. Check your fuel taps...

Power valve adjustment Thank you Glen. That makes sense now.

07 ec300. Power valve not working and on closer inspection found that the eliptical collar on the end of the splined shaft that drives it had come loose. Is this coller supposed to be splined to match the shaft? Mine is totally smooth inside so can be placed anywhere on the shaft when tightening...

Have pulled it apart. Both gears are partially striped. My dealer tells me the part no. for the spring is the same for 03 and latter so why are the 07s haveing thi problem. Is there any advantage in stretching the existing spring?

My 03 seamed alot stronger too. Did you find a solution? Do the earlier model springs fit. I am useing Redline MTL gearbox oil which still slips when new.

07 ec300 with 14hrs. Accasionally slips when the kickstarter is pushed through its stroke. Any ideas and is this a common problem with the 07s.
