The rivnut was spinning in its hole so I had to fabricate a solution. I could not get my rivnut tool anywhere near the hole.. God knows how it was originally put in? Maybe just pressed in as it was not deformed as they should be... Anyway....
I welded a small nut onto a washer and welded the washer to the frame. Seems to work fine..
This was the cause of a lot of annoying rattles..
Ps my welding is shockingly poor...

Yeah mine did exactly the same. Cool another use for my rivnut tool. . . Ahh. Not so much

I believe you can get "90 degree" rivnut tools... mine is the "in line" version so no way I could access the hole...

LOL.... I bought a marker pen to mark up the nuts on my other bike.. This was just testing that it worked.. I was bored..

:)

From Britannica:

vise, also spelled Vice, device consisting of two parallel jaws for holding a workpiece; one of the jaws is fixed and the other movable by a*screw, a*lever, or a cam. . . .

Its actually the Belgians fault our spelling is so pokey. They ran a lot of printing presses and influenced the written language. Apparently.
